Maulana in his today's lesson tell us a supplication taught by Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) to Mu'adh (bin Jabal) (May Allah be pleased with him) with the advice , the hadith is as follows 

Mu'adh (bin Jabal) (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:

Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) held my hand and said, "O Mu'adh, By Allah, I love you and advise you not to miss supplicating after every Salat (prayer) saying: 'Allahumma a'inni 'ala dhikrika wa shukrika, wa husni 'ibadatika,' (O Allah, help me remember You, expressing gratitude to You and worship You in the best manner)".

Maulana in his today's lesson tell us the importance of being punctual about Salaah ,Our Beloved Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) ordered his followers to safeguard and be punctual with their Salaah. Salaah is the best among all acts of worship, It is befitting that one should offer Salaah punctually. A person who considers prayers to be something ordinary and unimportant is just like one who does not offer Salaah at all.  The beloved Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) has said that a person who does not attach any importance to prayers and considers it to be something insignificant deserves chastisement in the hereafter.one should also perform such acts which increase the reward like wearing clean clothes, combing the hair, brushing the teeth and using perfume. 

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) has also said " For the one who is regular in his prayer , the prayer will become a light , a guide and the cause of his salvation on the day of resurrection. Wheras the one who is not regular in his prayers, will not have any light, guide or salvation and on the day of resurrection , he will along with qaroon, firon, hamman, ubai bin khalaf " i.e with the major infidels.

Maulana in his today's lesson tell us according to the Hadith anyone who seeks Allah's forgiveness for all the believers 27 or 25 times, he will be included amongst the Mustajaabud-Da'waat [People whose Duas are assuredly accepted] through whom Allah grants sustenance to the people of the world.

Maulana in his today's lesson tell us the excellence of the remembrance of Allah as this are the virtues which will survive and will be rewarded, while the world and all that it has will perish will reference to his talk he mention us the below hadith 

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "The uttering of the words: "Subhan-Allah (Allah is free from imperfection), Al-hamdu lillah (all praise is due to Allah), La ilaha illallah (there is no true god except Allah) and Allahu Akbar (Allah is the Greatest)' is dearer to me than anything over which the sun rises."

The Hadith highlights the fact that the supplication which mention the Praise and Glory of Allah, His Majesty and Oneness are liked by the Prophet (sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam) more than anything in the world, because this is one of the virtues which will survive and will be rewarded, while the world and all that it has will perish.

Maulana further continues saying Dhikr of Allah is the most excellent act of Allah's servants, Every Muslim should make it a practice to repeat them frequently all through the day.

The Prophet said: “Whoever says: ‘Glory is to Allah, the Magnificent, and with His Praise (Subhan Allahil-Azim, Wa Bihamdih)’ a date-palm tree is planted for him in Paradise.”

Allah  (subhana wa ta’ala)  is more delighted with the repentance of His slave, Maulana in his today's lesson advice us to do lots of Istighfar ( Dua for Forgivess) and in according to that he quote us the below Hadith :

Anas bin Malik Al-Ansari (MayAllah be pleased with him) the servant of the Messenger of Allah narrated:

Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "Verily, Allah is more delighted with the repentance of His slave than a person who lost his camel in a desert land and then finds it (unexpectedly)".

[Source : Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

In another version of Muslim, he said: "Verily, Allah is more pleased with the repentance of His slave than a person who has his camel in a waterless desert carrying his provision of food and drink and it is lost. He, having lost all hopes (to get that back), lies down in shade and is disappointed about his camel; when all of a sudden he finds that camel standing before him. He takes hold of its reins and then out of boundless joy blurts out: 'O Allah, You are my slave and I am Your Rubb'.He commits this mistake out of extreme joy".

Mu`adh ibn Jabal  (may Allah be pleased with him)  said that the Prophet  (ﷺ) also said: "The People of Paradise will not regret except one thing alone: the hour that passed them by and in which they made no remembrance of Allah." 
Narrated by Bayhaqi in Shu`ab al-iman (1:392 #512-513) and by Tabarani

Dhikr is, therefore, something of tremendous importance. We should always try to engage ourselves with  remembrance of Allah (subhana wa ta’ala)  while we are traveling, cooking , in our work and so on  . It is mentioned in books about our elders how they engage themselves in remembrance of Allah(subhana wa ta’ala)  while doing work through the recitation of Quran Kareem or by Supplication to Allah(subhana wa ta’ala) .

We should not miss this opportunity and safeguard our good deeds.

Maulana in his today's lessons warns us not to use the term "Uff" towards parents, and tell us the story related to it .

At the day of Judgement ,a person's good and bad deeds shall be weighed and both of the deeds will be equal in scale. Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) will then declare that this person neither belongs to the dwellers of the Paradise nor to the dwellers of  Hell. Then Suddenly a piece of paper will drop on the scale of bad deeds on which "Uff ( an expression of disgust) (it was a word through which he expressed his displeasure with his parents) is written . This piece of paper shall cause the scale of bad deeds to go down . The person shall be convicted to go hell. He shall plead to be saved from hell. Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) then order the angels to bring that person back. Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) will say to him " O 'man , who disobeyed his parents , why are you pleading to be released from hell ?" The person will say : O lord! I I don't deserve to be released from hell  because I disobeyed my parents , but I have seen that my father to has been sentenced to hell , so i request you to release my father and double my punishment instead. On hearing this , Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) shall break into laughter and say : 'in your life time you were disobedient to your father and now you want to save him . Come , take your fathers hand and go to Paradise!"

(2014-05-10 KA SABAQ) REPENTANCE

Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh"  (May the peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be with you).

Continuing with the topic of Repentance,  Maulana in his today's lessons guide us from the Noble Quran : Surah Az-Zumar (The Groups) Verse 53 , which means 

SAY: “[Thus speaks God:]  ‘O you servants of Mine who have transgressed against your own selves! Despair not of God’s mercy: behold, God forgives all sins - for, verily, He alone is much-forgiving, a dis­penser of grace!’ ”

Related to the topic , Maulana tell us the story and mention us that Allah is more pleased with the repentance of His servant and when a person applies his Lord with repentance due to his sins, it pleases Allah the Almighty.
During the Caliphate of Hazrat Umar (RA.) there was a man with a melodious voice who used to play a harp. The beauty of his voice was such that it greatly affected men, women and children. Whenever he used to pass by singing on his way from the jungle, even the birds and animals used to gather to listen to him.

Gradually, as he grew older and his voice through old age became less attractive, those who used to rave over his voice began ignoring him. Now, wherever he went, no one would even ask about him. Thus his fame and popularity vanished and he began to experience the solitude of being unknown, and as a result started feeling pangs of starvation and hunger.

Noticing this selfish disinterest amongst the people, one day when he was very sad, he said to himself: "0 Allah, when I had a beautiful voice, people used to flock around me like butterflies and they entertained me from all sides. Now I have been ignored as I have become old and my voice is no longer beautiful. These selfish people are even fleeing from my shadow. How sorry I am that I had attached my heart to such unfaithful people! How full of deceit was not this contact with them! If only I had turned to Thee, if only I had remained busy day and night with Thy remembrance, and if only I had fixed my hopes on Thee, then I would not have seen the disappointment of this day".

The man heart became very sorrowful and tears started flowing from his eyes. Suddenly at that moment from the unseen, the force of Jazb pulled his heart towards Allah."When on the earth there fell my tears, In the heavens rose the star of my bondage. "

The man uttered one long cry, turned his back to the people and like a madman went towards the graveyard in Madina Shareef. There he took refuge in a cave of an ancient grave wherein he sat down, and weeping bitterly he prayed:"0 Allah, today I am Thy guest, because people have discarded me. There is for me no other place of refuge except with Thee. There is now no one except Thee to purchase my voice. Acquaintances have left me and old age has overtaken me. Now I have no other refuge except with Thee. a Allah, I turn to Thee with great hopes. Do not send me back disappointed. "

The man remained in the ancient grave, remaining busy with his cries to Allah while tears continued to stream from him until the Mercy of Allah got into action. 

In this way Hazrat Umar was informed by means of ilhaam (inspiration):"0 Umar there is one servant of Mine who, because of his melodious voice, used to be very well loved and popular among men. Now, because of old age, the beauty of his voice has disappeared and all the people have discarded him and this fall from grace and popularity has become the cause of his repentance and his turning towards Me. Now My Infinite Mercy has purchased his soul.
Even though he may have been a sinner and negligent, I accept his cries For in My sight there is no other refuge for My bondsman, save in Me. O Umar take some wealth from the Baitul Maal, go to the graveyard and give My Salaam to this troubled bondsman of Mine. Give the money to him and inform him that as from today Allah has made him 'near' to Him and that He has granted him a special favour. Now there is no need for him to be sad and grieved. a Umar tell this bondsman of Mine that from now onwards Allah has, from the unseen, arranged for his daily sustenance" .

Hazrat Umar, on receiving this message through ilham(inspiration), became restless. He took some money from the Baitul Maal and proceeded towards the graveyard in Madina Shareef. When he arrived there he saw an old man lying asleep in an ancient grave with a harp next to him, and with the sign of tears on his face and beard. 

He immediately realised that through those tears he must have reached this rank.The Khalifa, Hazrat Umar, respectfully remained standing in front of the grave for the man to wake up, so that he could give him the glad tidings of Salaam from Allah. 

While standing there Hazrat Umar sneezed and the man opened his eyes. On seeing the Ameerul Mumineen he became filled with fear, so much so that he began trembling. He feared that Sayedina Umar would punish him, because of the musical instrument that was lying next to him. During that time it was well known that Hazrat Umar used to beat up with his stick the wrong-doers, for committing wrongs. 

However, when Hazrat umar saw the man  was trembling in fear, he said to him: "Fear not, I have come to you to bring to you glad tidings from your Lord." He said:"Why should the stick of Farouq fall on him,Him who cries before the Lord? Allah has inspired unto me And informed me of your name And He has showed to me your high rank So that I can come to you at your place And He has told me to inform you: 'I have chosen you, 0 fortunate one' And he has ordered me to take from the Treasury Some money to hand to you. "

When Hazrat Umar had informed the man of Allah's special gifts and favours to him, he was filled with gratitude and sorrow. 

"When the man had heard of Allah's bounty and gifts from the mouth of Sayedina Umar, He began trembling in gratitude and sorrow.And began to bite his own hands in anger. Thinking of his erstwhile negligence he cried: '0 Allah, without likeness; seeing Your mercy and bounty,I am filled with shame at Your favour.'He cried and in anger threw the harp down, breaking it into pieces And said to it: 'You have deprived me of Allah's Love, And have led me astray from the path of truth. For seventy years you drank my blood, And for that time have I sinned and been unmindful. Till I have now become an old man, And through you my face has been black in Allah's sight."

Sayeduna Umar observed all this and it affected him so deeply that tears came to his eyes. He said: "0 Man, this crying and weeping of yours is a sign of your intelligence. Your life is enlightened through your nearness to Allah. Verily the tears of sinners are very valuable in the sight of Allah."

"Allah equates the tears of sorrow and grief from the eyes of a sinner With the blood emanating from a martyr."

Maulana continues this story teaches us that a person should never lose hope in Allah over his misfortunes. One should at all times have hope in Allah.

(2014-05-08 KA SABAQ) Repentance & Safeguarding Our Good Deeds

Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh"  (May the peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be with you).

In regard to repentence,  Maulana in his today's lessons narrates us the following beautiful hadith that should inspire hope in us all: It is truly encouraging to know that the door to repentance is always open, but what is more, Allah is actually happy when one of His slaves repents. It is important to note here that the keys to repentance are that a sinner must desert from his sin, feel regret for having perpetrated it, and then make a firm resolve not to return to it. 

The Holy Prophet (ﷺ)  said,
"Anyone who does repents( tawbah) a year before his death, it will be accepted by Allah."
Then he(ﷺ)  repeated,
"A year is a long time. If he begs pardon only a month before his end he will be forgiven."
Then he said,
"A month is also too much. Even if he begs pardon only a week before his departure it will be accepted."
Then he said,
"A week is also much more. If the sinner prays for pardon only a day before his death, his repentance will be accepted."
Then he said,
"A day is also a long time. Even if a man repents just before the arrival of the angel of death, his repentance (Tawbah )will be accepted."

Maulana further continues telling , it is highly beneficial if man repents over his past misdeeds at any time or any place. On the Day of Judgement, everyone will be on their own, mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, friends, will not come for the help of each other. 
We need to protect every single good deeds , as this is will be a very important factor at the time when our deeds will be weighed (Scale). Slandering ,back-biting , bribe and so on is a major problem amongs us. Most of us are guilty of it. At times we take part of it not even realizing , we are losing all are good deeds and May Allah Protect us if we will be short of one good deed in the scale, So imagine what will be our situation ? 

Maulana narrates us a story of the man who will have one good deed short


" There will be a man, when his good and bad deeds will be weighed, he will have a good deed less for going to Heaven. The Angel will say to him, "Go and get a good deed from someone, then you can go to Heaven, otherwise you will go to Hell." This person will go to his mother and ask her for a good deed. His mother will say, "I don't even know you." Like this, he will go to all his family and they will all say that they don't know him and he will not get a good deed from them. He will go around Mahshar asking for a good deed. He will come across a man. He will ask him for a good deed. He will say, "In my life-time I have only done one good deed, the rest I have done are all bad deeds. I know I will not be going to Heaven with one good deed. You take it." The man will take the good deed and come back to the scale. He will say, "I have a good deed." The Angel will put the good deed on the scale and his good deeds will become more. The man will become happy. Allah will order the man to bring the man who sacrificed his good deed for the other man. When that man will come, Allah will say to him, "You had one good deed and you sacrificed it to another man. As a show of my Mercy, you will go to Heaven with him as well."

• The Nobel Quran Confirms Isa ibn Maryam [ Peace be upon him] was born miraculously by the command of Allah.

• Abu Hurayra reported that he heard the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, say, "No human child has ever spoken in the cradle except for 'Isa ibn Maryam , may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and the companion of Jurayj." Abu Hurayra asked, "Prophet of Allah, who was the companion of Jurayj?" The Prophet replied, "Jurayj was a monk who lived in a hermitage. • Surah (3) Al-Imran (The Family of Imran) Surah 3:Verse 49 and [will make him] an apostle unto the children of Israel .” "I HAVE COME unto you with a message from your Sustainer. I shall create for you out of clay, as it were, the shape of [your] destiny, and then breathe into it, so that it might become [your] destiny by God's leave; and I shall heal the blind and the leper, and bring the dead back to life by God's leave;  and I shall let you know what you may eat and what you should store up in your houses. Behold, in all this there is indeed a message for you, if you are [truly] believers.

• Haafiz Ibn Katheer has compiled in his Tafseer ten big pages full with these Ahaadith which state and describe Hadhrat Isaa's  [ Peace be upon him] bodily ascension while he was alive, his presence in the Heaven in his physical state, i.e. with his physical body, and his appearance on ea rth in close proximity to Qiyaamah. It has been explicitly mentioned that these issues are Ijmaaee, Qat'i and Ittifaaqi in which there exists absolutely no difference of opinion.

• An-Nawwas bin Sam`an (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:One morning the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) made a mention of Dajjal,........................ Allah will send `Isa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary) who will descend at the white minaret in the eastern side of Damascus, wearing two garments lightly dyed and placing his hands on the wings of two angels. When he will lower his head, there would fall drops of water from his head, and when he will raise it up, drops like pearls would scatter from it. Every disbeliever who will find his (i.e., `Isa's) smell will die and his smell will reach as far as he will be able to see. He will then search for Dajjal until he will catch hold of him at the gate of Ludd (village near Jerusalem), and will kill him. [Source Reference :Riyad as-Salihin]

Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh"  (May the peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be with you).

Maulana in his todays lessons tell us about the significance of reaching 40 years of age, 40 years of age is a very important milestone in the life of a man (woman). The most important thing to be done when one reaches the age of forty is that he/she should make a re-assessment of his own personality, thank Allah for His favours and pray for parents & off-springs. The repentance to Allah should be renewed. One should recite the supplication mentioned in The Nobel Quran :Surah Al Ahqaf ( The Curved Sand Hills ) Verse :15 below 

46:15 -  Wawassayna alinsana biwalidayhi ihsanan hamalathu ommuhu kurhan wawadaAAathu kurhan wahamluhu wafisaluhu thalathoona shahran hattaitha balagha ashuddahu wabalagha arbaAAeena sanatan qala rabbi awziAAnee an ashkura niAAmataka allatee anAAamta AAalayya waAAalawalidayya waan aAAmala salihan tardahu waaslih lee fee thurriyyatee innee tubtu ilayka wainnee mina almuslimeena

46:15 - NOW [among the best of the deeds which] We have enjoined upon man is goodness towards his parents.  In pain did his mother bear him, and in pain did she give him birth; and her bearing him and his utter dependence on her took thirty months. and so, when he attains to full maturity and reaches forty years,  he [that is righteous] prays: “O my Sustainer! Inspire me so that I may forever be grateful for those blessings of Thine with which Thou hast graced me and my parents, and that I may do what is right [in a manner] that will meet with Thy goodly acceptance; and grant me righteousness in my offspring [as well]. Verily, unto Thee have I turned in repentance: [19] for, verily, I am of those who have surrendered themselves unto Thee!”

Now give a thought to how important this milestone is. And at the same time those who have already crossed this age should also read.  We should be thankful to Allah that he has given us an opportunity of forgiveness at this stage of our lives. But for that we need to act. So, whoever has reached the age of 40 should get his (her) act together and utilize this opportunity given by Allah. Those who shall be reaching that stage in days to come (Insha’Allah), be prepared.  My father Maulana Umar Palanpuri ( Rahimullah ) made a point that I don't miss  this Life One time Opportunity , so he suggested me to read it after every prayer and by the time I reach the age of Forty ( Inshallah) , Supplication will be made . So I request you all to please memorize this Supplication and make a Habit of reading it after every Prayer .

Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh"  (May the peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be with you).

Maulana in his todays lessons quote us a hadith related to the topic  "DRINKING OF ALCOHOLIC DRINKS IS CURSED"

Narrated Abu 'Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) or Abu Malik Al-Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) : that he heard the Prophet (ﷺ) saying, "From among my followers there will be some people who will consider illegal sexual intercourse, the wearing of silk, the drinking of alcoholic drinks and the use of musical instruments, as lawful. And there will be some people who will stay near the side of a mountain and in the evening their shepherd will come to them with their sheep and ask them for something, but they will say to him, 'Return to us tomorrow.' Allah will destroy them during the night and will let the mountain fall on them, and He will transform the rest of them into monkeys and pigs and they will remain so till the Day of Resurrection."

It was narrated from Ibn ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:“Wine is cursed from ten angles: The wine itself, the one who squeezes (the grapes etc), the one for whom it is squeezed, the one who sells it, the one who buys it, the one who carries it, the one to whom it is carried, the one who consumes its price, the one who drinks it and the one who pours it.”
