(2014-06-25 KA SABAQ) Supplication taught by Allah (Subḥānahu wa ta'āla) to our Belowed Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)

Daily Lesson In URDU By Hazrat Maulana Yunus Palanpuri (D.B)

Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh"  (May the peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be with you).

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was instructed to make the supplication mentioned below from Surah Al-An'am (The Cattle) 6:162 & 163. In the Holy Qur-an, there are several supplications which were mentioned as made by prophets and believers. There are also some supplications which are taught by Allah (Subḥānahu wa ta'āla) Himself. This is one of such supplications, being taught by Allah (Subḥānahu wa ta'āla) to Belowed Messenger of Allah (ﷺ). In two verses, this supplication encompasses every aspect of our life. 

"inna salatee wanusukee wamahyaya wamamatee lillahi rabbi alAAalameena. La shareeka lahu "

Behold, my prayer, and (all] my acts of worship, and my living and my dying are for God [alone], the Sustainer of all the worlds, in whose divinity none has a share:

Maulana further continues his lesson and talks about the regions where rain is required and the regions where there is abundance of rain.

He Advice's the people in region where there is abundance of rain supplicate to Allah Subḥānahu wa ta'āla for the regions where rain is required.

Maulana share with us the advices of  ulema who have been known for  their piety , taqwa and reliability FOR THE BLESSING OF RAIN .

1 # Astaghfar (Forgiveness).

2 # Charity.

3 # The Supplication from Small Children's.

4 # Salah.

Maulana further continues, Nowadays, a common practice is being developed among our womens to present gifts before the start of holy month Ramdhan, Giving Gifts is a beautiful Sunnah to be practiced by us all and need to be practiced throughout the Year . 

Presenting gifts only before start of Ramdhan will slowly in future develop into Innovation as earlier some of other things which were developed [ innvovation ]. So please avoid it.

Ramadan is one of the eagerly awaited months of Islamic calendar. The month is full of blessings and mercy that showers upon Muslims from Almighty Allah . Therefore, in order to increase our fair share in the feast of blessings and mercy, we shall try preparing for the month before hand, so that the transition remains easy and we make the most out of the whole month. Quran recitation brings blessings and reward from Allah Almighty, Therefore, in order to make the most out of Quran reading in Ramadan, it is imperative that a we starts reading Quran before Ramadan . The importance of recitation of Quran is discussed in today's lesson by Maulana .
It was narrated that Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'Allah has His own people among mankind.' They said: 'O Messenger of Allah, who are they?' He said: 'The people of the Qur'an, the people of Allah and those who are closest to Him.'"

The Four(4) guidelines given by Abu'l-Darda' (may Allaah be pleased with him) at the time of his death is discussed in today's lesson by Maulana:

At the time of Abu'l-Darda' (may Allaah be pleased with him) death, people were gathered around him, and he said to them the below guidelines which he heard from the beloved Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)

1. Worship [ Salah ] Allah as if you see Him. And even though you do not see Him, [you know] He sees you.
2. Be in the world like a stranger or a passerby, and count yourself among the inhabitants of the grave.
3. Be afraid, from the curse of the oppressed as there is no screen between his invocation and Allah.
4. Attend the Fajr and the Isha prayers even if you need to crawl on earth to attend it.

Maulana in his today's lesson :

Dhikr of Allah(Subḥānahu wa ta'āla) is the most excellent act of Allah's servants and is stressed over a hundred times in the Holy Qur'an and Hadith.

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Prophet(ﷺ) said:
"Allah says: 'I am with My slave when he remembers Me and his lips move saying My Name.'"
Reference : Sunan Ibn Majah.

In order to Stress the importance of hadith , Maulana repeat it three(3) times which in itself is a Sunnah.

Remember that as long as we are at the mosque then we are a guest of Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) and a visitor to Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) . And any visitor to Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) deserves to be honored by Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) . Let us be aware of this situation so we would receive the blessing and grace and the reward in it. 

The beloved Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: {whoever does wudu at his home, and does it well, then comes to the mosque then he is a visitor to Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) . And it is only right of each host to honor his guest}.

The topic discussed in today's Lesson by Maulana is about the the time when dua ( Supplication ) of believers are not rejected  and the method of repetition.

Anas [bin Malik](May Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet(ﷺ) said: “The supplication is not rejected between the Adhan and the Iqamah.” Source Reference : Sunan Abi Dawud

Anas bin Malik(May Allah be pleased with him): narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:“The supplication is not rejected between the Adhan and the Iqamah.” They said: “So what should we say, O Messenger of Allah?” He said: “Ask Allah for Al-Afiyah in the world and in the Hereafter.”

In order to Stress the importance of hadith , Maulana repeat it three(3) times.

Also , He explain the method of repetition is Sunnah way of teaching. the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)  would repeat whatever he wanted to stress for three(3) times to insure that all heard him properly and clearly understood what he was saying.\

(2014-05-28 KA SABAQ) Dreams & A Story of a King

Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh"  (May the peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be with you).

In today's lesson, Maulana discuss the topic of Dream and a story releated to it :

A king wanted  to build a magnificent mosque , the expenses for the construction belong to the king was his criteria to build the mosque . By grace of Almighty Allah Subhanwataala the mosque was built.
The date of construction and his name was written on the wall . [ here maulana make a general advice to all the muslim  which will be mentioned below (1) ]. 
The King in the same night sees a dream ,he sees the angels come down to earth , rubs his name from the wall and writes a women name on it. Very much astonished and worried with the dream he saw , he ask his fellow person to go and check whose name is written on the wall. The fellow person follows the order of the King , After checking the name on the wall they come back to the king saying its your name written on the wall..
The Same dream again appears to the king on the following night , this make King more worried , he orders his other fellow person to check again whose name is written on the wall . Again the same reply comes from the fellow persons after checking the wall that it has your name written on it.
On the 3rd following night , the Same dream again appears to the king, this time he decide to visit the mosque on his own. He sees his name .
On the 4th following night , the same dream again appears [ here maulana make a general advice to all the muslim  which will be mentioned below (2) ], this time King try to remember the name  that is written by angels against his name . he order his military to check the name and inform him who is that person ( the name which angel were writing was of a women ). The Military Follows the order , the name which use to appear in dream was of a poor lady whose hut was just near to Jannatul Baqi. They bring her to the King . 
The King ask the lady : Are you aware that a Mosque has been build .
The Lady Answer : Yes , it is built under your name.
The King ask the lady : Do you own any credit related to the construction of Mosque
The Lady Answer : No , I did not . as I am a poor lady how can I be a part of this construction.
The King ask the lady : Not by expense but by any means did you take part in it.
The Lady Answer : No, Not by any mean but I use to watch the donkeys that were carrying the construction related materials for the mosque , in order to support, I made water available on side of a road for them which i use to carry from well , and use to supplicate to Almighty Allah Subhanwatalla that I am not able to take part in the construction of this Mosque but this small deed I am doing in order to achieve your blessing .[ She also make a point here , that Every day i use to watch the donkey whenever they pass by Roza Mubarak  ( Scared Chamber) they use to keep their head low and walk and comes to my house drink the water and go ]. Other then this i did not take any part.
After hearing this all the King replied to the lady : to your this act , Almighty Allah Subhanwatala has bless & rewarded you the deed of making complete construction of this mosque.

How mighty is our Lord , The reward that are awarded to us is on our Sincerity & intention .

Advice (1 ) : Maulana makes a point here, that the work we do in todays age has to be mention in writing whether its related to Hosiptal construction or any other mean to support , the logic behind it is  the coming generation will be aware of teh construction that was build by muslim. Sincerity & intention has to be in it .

Advice (2 ) : The Dream that appears again and again has to be discussed with the a person who is qualified in this field .

(2014-05-28 KA SABAQ) Dreams

Daily Lesson In URDU By Hazrat Maulana Yunus Palanpuri (D.B)

Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh"  (May the peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be with you).

In today's lesson, Maulana discuss the topic of Dream and the issue related to it , the Prophet (ﷺ) divided dreams into good and evil; good dreams come from Allah, evil ones from Satan. "If you see a displeasing appearance in your dream, seek refuge with Allah from its evil and from the evil of Satan"

Narrated Abu Qatada (May Allah be pleased with him):

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "A good dream that comes true is from Allah, and a bad dream is from Satan, so if anyone of you sees a bad dream, he should seek refuge with Allah from Satan and should spit on the left, for the bad dream will not harm him."

Source : Sahih al-Bukhari .

Narrated Abu Salama (May Allah be pleased with him):

I used to see a dream which would make me sick till I heard Abu Qatada(May Allah be pleased with him)  saying, "I too, used to see a dream which would make me sick till I heard the Prophet (ﷺ) saying, "A good dream is from Allah, so if anyone of you saw a dream which he liked, he should not tell it to anybody except to the one whom he loves, and if he saw a dream which he disliked, then he should seek refuge with Allah from its evil and from the evil of Satan, and spit three times (on his left) and should not tell it to anybody, for it will not harm him. "

Maulana in the end of his lessons sum up what has been said about good dreams, 

1. A person should praise Allah for the good dream.
2. He should feel happy about it.
3. He should talk about it to those whom he loves but not to those whom he dislikes.

To sum up what has been said about bad dreams, Maulana say three things:

1. He should seek refuge with Allah from the evil of the dream.
2. He should seek refuge with Allah from the evil of the Satan.
3. He should not mention it to anyone at all.
